magic pencil

I made a great investment at Spotlight and bought a disappearing pen. Now I am wondering what took me so long.Magic Pen I can draw on the fabric with it and it lasts long enough to embroider over. I did an experiment to see how well it fades.

magic pen 2And I took this photo 5 days later – almost gone, and I haven’t tried washing but it does wash out if it doesn’t fade quickly enough. There is a longer lasting pen for projects that take more time. Made in Japan so maybe it would be good for sashiko which I love the look of and have been wanting to try.

I am Judi and I have been cutting and stitching fabric since I could thread a needle. First I dressed my dolls, then I sewed my own clothes

  1. It seems to work for me – doesn’t last long so for quick stitching. Might try the longer lasting one to see how long it stays on the fabric for.

  2. Hey what a great idea. I like the look of your quilt. You’re going to be a handy resource … I do a bit of textile stuff myself occasionally, although now that my life has been totally taken over by blogging I don’t know when I’ll get the time…
